Columbia Street Waterfront - a neighborhood institution, Pok Pok is a small but very popular, Asian-fusion restaurant. You'll usually see a line at the door every evening. There's no RSVP and they only seating the full party for each table.
Cobble Hill - this neighborhood institution is one of the two major movie theaters in Cobble Hill. Even though the area has changed and the other theatre is more modern, Cobble Hill Cinemas is more old-school in its look and feel.

Sutton Place - great views of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, which is an iconic fixture in the neighborhood. This bridge was recently named after the legendary NYC Mayor Ed Koch several months before he passed away.
LES - Doughnut Plant is a neighborhood institution that's known for its artisan doughnuts and baked goods. There's often a line out the door and it's the middle of the afternoon. The bakery doesn't close until the last doughnut is sold, which is usually around 8pm.
