Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Mary DeGeorge: The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is part of the new Levine Center for the Arts located in the heart of #UptownCharlotte. It is dedicated to the celebration and analysis of the strongest aspects of mid-century modernism as reflected in the holdings of the Bechtler collection. The collection comprises more than 1,400 works by 20th-century modern artists. Some works are accompanied by books, photographs and letters illustrating personal connections to the Bechtler family.
Dixie's Tavern

The Market at 7th Street
Mary DeGeorge: The Seventh Street Public Market is more than a grocery store. You can find regional produce from local farmers as well as fresh beef and seafood, locally made fresh pizza, a variety of wines or savory treats in this little gem in #FirstWard Charlotte, NC. It I conveniently located in the ground floor of the Seventh Street Station Parking Deck and parking is always free. Check their website for hours!
St Peter's Catholic Church
Mary DeGeorge: St. Peter's Catholic Church was founded in 1851 and is the oldest Catholic Church in Charlotte. It is conveniently located right in the heart of #UptownCharlotte. It has been staffed by Jesuits since 1986. Attend a service there as a local or as a guest, but be prepared if you are a guest to share where you are from at the end of the mass so the congregation can welcome you.
Charlotte Convention Center
Mary DeGeorge: The Charlotte Convention Center in #UptownCharlotte opened in 1995 as the perfect venue for conventions, trade shows, banquets and theater-style conferences, attracting more than half a million visitors each year. From its gracefully arched entrances to its airy concourses, the Charlotte Convention Center was designed to be elegant and inviting.
Mint Museum Uptown
Mary DeGeorge: Located in #UptownCharlotte, the Mint Museum of Craft and Design features objects in ceramics, glass, fiber, metal and wood. The Mint Museum is dedicated to collecting, conserving, exhibiting, inspiring, publishing and protecting important works of art and design from all over the global art community.
The Green Parking
Mary DeGeorge: The Green Parking is a Parking Deck located beneath The Green. It is a convenient place to park when visiting #UptownCharlotte as it is within walking distance to the city center and all that the uptown area has to offer. It is directly across the street from Levine Center of the Arts which includes the Mint Museum, Knight Theatre and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
Freedom Park
Mary DeGeorge: This park is how the surrounding neighborhood is referred. #FreedomPark is a great place to walk a dog around the lake, enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the many picnic tables or sit on a bench and enjoy the view. There is also a baseball diamond and playground right next to the parking area on Princeton Avenue.
Queens University of Charlotte
Mary DeGeorge: What began as a small college for women in 1857 has evolved into a co-ed, comprehensive, master's-level university with a commitment to liberal arts and professional studies. Today, Queens University of Charlotte serves approximately 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students through its six accredited schools and is located in #Charlotte in the beautiful #MyersPark neighborhood.
Myers Park United Methodist Church

Myers Park United Methodist Church stands at the corner of Queens and Providence roads in the #MyersPark neighborhood in the heart of Charlotte.
The Cherokee

Mary DeGeorge: The Hamilton C. Jones III House was built by Martin E. Boyer and represents a significant affluent shift for the #Eastover neighborhood. Among other things, Hamilton C. Jones was a United States Representative from North Carolina. The home was built n 1928 and was added to the national register of historic places in 2002.

There is a varied mix of upscale restaurants, chains and quick food so there is something for everyone. The Epicenter also has a bowling alley and movie theatre so it can keep you entertained all night.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Mary DeGeorge: The Nascar Hall of Fame located in #UptownCharlotte opened in 2010. It is an interactive, entertainment attraction honoring the history and heritage of NASCAR. The goal of the facility is to honor NASCAR icons and create an enduring tribute to the drivers, crew members, team owners and others that have impacted the sport in the past, present and future.
Levine Museum of the New South
Mary DeGeorge: Levine Museum of the New South is located in the Heart of Charlotte, NC in the #FirstWard. It is an interactive history museum that provides the nation with the most comprehensive interpretation of post-Civil War southern society featuring men, women and children, black and white, rich and poor, long-time residents and newcomers who have shaped the South since the Civil War.
