This neighborhood institution will cure all your fanboy needs. Up to date and classic comics with a helpful staff and an assortment of graphic novels as well.
Not your everyday hardware store. Of course they have all the sundry items most hardware stores do, and with better customer service. But the kicker here is their gourmet truffle department and their fine selection of coffee.
Kind of an indoor/outdoor bar. Great crawfish, relatively cheap drinks, a pool table, attentive staff. Trivia on Tuesdays and a great place to catch any game. Huge patio.

House of Pies. Open 24 hour; seriously mean pie. Big cop hang out (surprised?) Ask for Carol. I'm just kidding, but maybe there is a Carol. Somewhere. Somewhere Carol.
